Missus has an aging 54 plate golf on about 150k now.

It was serviced last year, but no warning light on yet.

Is it advisable to do this regardless of the warning light? Or do i let the ECU "do its thang".

Thanks

Just service it every 10k miles / 12 months.

If you switch on the ignition, put on your seatbelt , if you have a seatbelt warning light, and press and hold the trip reset button in the cluster it should tell you distance / time to next service.

Do as Cuprabob says and service it a 10k or 12 months. Oil and filter one year, all other filters etc the next. Do that and you'll put on another 150k no problem. Look after the Golf and it'll look after you!
