Bluetooth thingy for Aux iPod

Hi all,

I have a 2007 S6 with an aftermarket aux iPod connector (defo not AMI). My iPod has given up so I thought about getting a Bluetooth receiver to pop on this. I read a few people in other posts on here did the same.

I bought a cheap one off Ebay but it doesn't work. The phone pairs but no sound. I also tried it on my Bluray players iPod dock and that doesn't work either so possibly its just rubbish.

Has anyone done this with an non AMI aux in plug? If so can you remember which Bluetooth receiver you bought so I can get the same.

I plug into my dual port phone charger which is handily located next to the AUX socket.

Unfortunately the aux in on the Audi CD changer has a proprietary plug and not a standard headphone jack type plug so that wont work :-(
