VW Tiguan TDi Mk1 and Ad-Blue
Discussion
Mrs 2CV has a VW Tiguan TDi Mk1, which has this idiotic process for filling the Ad-Blue tank (Ad-Blue being already a pretty annoying additional thing to have to do). The filler is under the boot floor and spare wheel, so you need to remove all of that first. The filler is located vertical and in a place where it is impossible to use the handy plastic spout which comes with the big bottles; at least not without spilling it everywhere. The spout has an air tube within it so it stops glugging when the tank is full, and as I can't use it I can't tell how full the tank is. I put a load in a few hundred miles ago (although possibly less than the 4L required to reset the level sensor) but now it is flashing up with the level warning again; which comes nicely bundled with an automatic engine disabling feature if I don't deal with it. I reckon it has enough in the tank, but it is impossible to tell. Can I reset the level sensor / warning myself or am I going to have to pay a dealer £50+ to do it?
VW dealer will refill AdBlue while you wait for £1.50 per litre. I don't how the price compares to filling yourself.

bloody hell! My own fault for assuming but I figured they would do it but then charge £50 or something. http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/owners/servicing/servi...
I did search VW website today to try and research, and that didn't come up...
cheers
