Regarding pipe for VW Golf 1.9tdi 2007

Hey peeps.

I have a VW Golf 1.9TDI 2007 and I noticed I'm missing a pipe. Anybody know what the missing end is called so I can buy 1 and fit it? Thx in advanced

Looks like the air intake pipe to the air filter box to me, usually runs from here to a position at the front of the car to draw in fresh cool air.

Agreed. And this is definitely the case if it goes into the big rectangular box (ie the air filter housing), and not below it or around it.

It looks like you're missing that whole box and the pipe - I'd guess it ducts fresh air in through those vertical slats above the radiator grill slats, bends through 180 degrees, and then through to the pipe you've spotted into the air filter.
