So I need new tyres for my TT but feedback from Protyre that is Audi hold all current UK stock of Hankook 245/35/19 which are the originals.
A call to Audi was not returned so I don't know how much they'll want to charge me when the car goes for a service - so assuming they will want at least an arm and 1 leg - what other options are there??

I wouldn't buy tyres from a franchised dealer regardless ... Usually horrendously expensive.
Just changed the fronts on mine (235/35/19) - Skoda dealer wanted £215 / corner.
I paid £145 / corner for better tyres through blackcircles.
Mate of mine has a current model 320d MSport. BMW wanted £285 / corner (discounted apparently), he got the exact same tyres for £215 / corner through blackcircles.
Oh, and Goodyear Asym 3s are awesome.

Depends if the franchised dealer price matches or not. Mine does. Franchised dealers also seem to be the best at wheel balancing and 4 wheel alignment, so may as well just cut the middle men out and go straight there.
As for PS4s....they like a lot of other performance tyres are fine down to 3-4mm, and then become terrible. So probably not a good idea extending them out to the 1.6mm legal limit. A new ditch finder would grip better.

Hi. I have got an audi tt with hankook tyres. The tyres have a good grip when the asphalt is dry but they are very slippery when it is wet or there is snow. Never had that problem when had michelin or bridgestone tyres. Thought was something wrong with the car itself but when checked other forums other audi drivers confirmed their hankook tyres did have poor grip when snowed or rained. Hope this helps anyones and prevents any accidents
