Broken Glovebox

The glovebox latch on my Audi A1 has broken, I have read that it is possible to manually release the glovebox, but I can't seem to work out how.

Does anyone on here know how to fix this?

If its the same as every other Audi Ive owned where the glovebox has broken;
Open passenger door and push a Flathead screwdriver between the end of the glove box and the blanking plastic that sits between the door and the glove box. it should just pop off, once you can see the guts of the glove box there should be just a clasp that you can push in to let the glovebox drop down.

However, if its locked then I dont know. Ive never had a locked glove box break on me
