RCD510 Bluetooth Upgrade

Does anyone have any experience with these kits? Seem suspiciously cheap...

I've got a Mk5 GTI with an RCD510 unit fitted- I know these can drain the battery if the CANBUS gateway hasn't been upgraded, I'm not sure if mine's been upgraded but I'm assuming so. Is it the Bluetooth that causes the drain or something else?

That's just a cableset and does not include the Bluetooth module, hence why it's cheap

If your RCD510 does not currently cause battery drain then it will be OK with the Bluetooth module. The battery drain issue tends to be more with the RNS510 (sat nav).
