Mk4 Golf engine temperature falls
Discussion
Morning chaps,
Noticed a problem recently on my MK4 Golf TDI in that it takes quite a while to get up to temperature (90'C where it usually rigidly stays).
Only to noticeably fall again when under low load - flat 30MPH areas and waiting at lights. In fact to test this I sat on the drive only to see the temperate fall back to the pin. Heater also blows noticeably cooler when this happens.
Clearly a knackered thermostat, which has been changed to no avail.
Car runs perfectly OK otherwise.
Anyone else had this?
