Hi all, I have 2010 VW Caddy Maxi . after my service at local specialist I was told I have oil in the fuel and need a new fuel pump at £580 .00 never even heard of this before . Can someone please enlighten me ? Simon
Speculating it's a PD engine,and the lift / vac pump has failed, causing engine oil to mix with the fuel at the end of the cam shaft. Speculation at its best.
Not much, as I can't tell the engine design from that,and CBA looking. As the workshop to point out exactly what they are changing. Most genuine blokes will be delighted to do so, and give you mind dulling detail of why and what needs to be changed.
