Audi TTS service Requirements
Discussion
Put a deposit down on an Audi TTS today after getting the dealer to agree to replacing the cambelt within the price as it was nearly due
So belt was last done in 2014 which means it was slightly late for its age (late 2008 model)
Haldex was done on 44k so again slightly late on miles
S Tronic I’m not so sure on
Question is, are the haldex and S Tronic oils also on a time based service? The car is only on 68k so not due on mileage but should I be arguing for the oils to be changed?
First time I’ve ever bought a car from a garage, despite this being far from the most expensive car I’ve bought, I do feel I’ve paid top dollar so don’t want to have any maintenance bills pop up soon ideally

Gearbox should have had an oil and filter change at 40k miles.
On my old MK5 R32 the DSG and Haldex were every 40k miles with no time recommendation but personally I would change them at least every 4 years. Audi may be different as there seems to be little consistency across the brands.
When the cambelt is changed also have them change the water pump.

As it was on my old A3, 3.2 - 40k for both gearbox and Haldex, so it seems the same recommendations from Audi. Strictly speaking the interval is 60,000 KM which VAG UK round up to 40,000 miles. Not sure I'd be willing to take the risk on a car which hasn't had it done to schedule as does have the potential for expensive problems.
I'd be tempted to ask for both those and the cambelt to be done, as they'll likely all fall due within the next year or so.
