Rear dampers and seat bolster on my Mark 7 Golf GTD
Discussion
I have had my Golf Mark 7 GTD for a few months now and love it. There are two things that irritate me about the car.
The rear suspension knocks when you go over small bumps or drains. I think it’s the rear dampers so ordered a pair of Bilsteins which should be a straight forward swop over. There appears to be sticky on at least one of the dampers so believe they are the culprits?
Has anyone changed the drivers side seat base foam. My foam bolster has split (fabric fine) but you can feel the bar through the fabric in areas.
Do you need to disconnect the battery before unplugging the seat underneath due to the seat air bags? Is it a vehicle upolsterers job or something that a novice could do?
Cheers
