I have a very nice 2.0 TDi S-Line A6 Avant which is approaching 3 years old (33k miles). It's probably worth around £20k'ish (prob worth less as a trade-in). I bought it cash for about 24% less than the RRP (through a broker & delivered via an Audi main dealer). I've liked it a lot and never regretted buying it (& I had a few additional options such as privacy glass, folding mirrors, heated seats and folding towbar for a bike rack).

Do I just run it into the ground for the next 10 years? Do I replace it now while it's still worth something? Replace it with what? I like the space. I could be persuaded to have an SUV (Q5, VW Tiguan etc) but I like the low driving position & handling. Don't really want to downsize too much (would like to be able to chuck bikes in the back without removing wheels etc, which is SO easy with the A6).

I don't want to make a completely stupid financial decision - but it's also not purely a money thing & a nice car is a lifestyle choice.

Really not sure what to do..........comments/advice appreciated

My personal view is if it isn't generating any major bills, run it into the ground. Replacing a car after 3 years is really just giving money away and you never really get any value out of the car but the next person will.

I bought my Audi at 2.5 years old with 22k on the clock, I have owned it nearly 10 years with 120k on the clock and still motoring along. If it is looking to throw bills worth more than the car then it will moved on.

It's a lovely car so keep it, there is very little else around with that amount of space and quality on offer.
I'm trying to persuade the missus to try one!
We are looking to trade in our 65 plate qashqai which we have owned for about 16 months and found out yesterday we have lost about £5000 on it!
I find the space in suv type vehicles really poor.
