Vw golf mk5 stereo Safe Code 2

Hi there, 

I have just bought a second hand 05 plate golf Mk5 1.9tdi....love it!

1 problem: the stereo is locked with

Safe code 2

I have no code but am unable to clear the safe code 2 stage to input the code, even if I had it!!!!

HELLLLLLLP!

Any help gratefully received!

Just to add:

I followed steps on Google about putting the key in ignition, turn stereo on, turn key to off position then leave it for an hour.

Nothing changed. 

Any ideas???

Do the same thing but leave it for longer????
