They seem a good buy at the moment ,is there much to look out for .because I was wondering why they were only made for 2 years with the v10 .is there any issues .it would be a second car and not a daily driver.

I seem to recall a thread a year or so back about one having a wiring loom issue and it costing the earth to fix it.
I anticipate that it will have bespoke bits that will cost a lot to replace and I suppose a Lamborghini engine has Lamborghini running costs which is probably where Audi were pitching it.
Assuming estates were not that popular, the Urus has taken its market segment.
All speculation though.

Thread a little while ago from a member who took the plunge.

He’s got more bottle than most people. Many horror stories and huge bills for parts.

I’d still have one if the right one popped up.

Buy an abused/neglected one and it will ruin you.

It's not completely unrelated to the Lamborghini engine but really is a bespoke development of it for the RS6. It's like saying that the Cosworth Duratec 2.3 is a Focus engine. The contemporary S6/8 motor has more in common and the R8 version is near identical.

There's a recent Pistonheads buying guide that covers the model pretty well.

Incredible car but I don't have the bottle. If something goes wrong (it will) then there aren't many cars on the road more expensive to repair.

Do your research
Big problem is the oil seal issue between gearbox and engine. Its an engine out job, made sure mine had been done under warranty by previous owner before I purchased. Big service bills so not for those on a budget but THE Biggest Smile Ever!

The C5 RS6 is somewhat eye watering on the repair front.
