Left my 2017 Golf GTD estate with a local bodyshop and the insurance turned up with a 2018 Passat 1.4TSi estate DSG with a few hundred miles on it. I love it! Quiet, smooth and quick enough for me. That the car has a 1.4 engine is a revelation for me and its doing 45 mpg. Just love the simplicity of the auto and some good deals with lease. Could replace our Volvo XC90 if I get my way.

The 1.4TSI is a really good little engine - probably one of the best normal use none-performance engines on sale right now

I’ve got that engine in my 2014 Golf, I’ve done 70k miles. Brim to brim measured on a spreadsheet (sad I know!) I’ve got 46mpg. Low CO2 so reasonable BIK too.

Quiet, smooth, plenty quick enough for a daily, mixed with adaptive cruise & DSG has made a great car for the past 3.5 yrs.

Yes it’s a little dull, it’s a Golf. But it is what it is.

Is this the 1.4 TSI 150?
