Jetta DSG 7spd problem- confusion - Help please
Discussion
Hi,
I am very confused. I have recently had to get the clutch kit and reverse fork changed on my DSG7 speed gearbox in Jetta mk4 1.6tdi sport. The reverse fork got broken out of the blue in a parked car and is something you cant get new so we've had to resort to a used one but I have put a new clutch kit in. Some of my friends are advising that I should sell the car because it has had its gearbox worked on and will probably not be as reliable anymore particularly because of the used fork.
My question is, is this really a thing? if I have put so much money into getting it fixed, should I really sell the car?
Your advise/suggestion/help would be invaluable.
Thanks
