Service Question

Had a major service done last year on my A3 1.8 by an indy. Spark plugs, pollen filter, the lot.
Am I right in saying this year it's just oil and oil filter replacement? I'm on the fixed yearly service schedule as opposed to the long life one.

Also, not much real world difference between 5w30 and 5w40 oil right?
