From MK2 FL Octavia VRS to Audi S3
Discussion
I've got a 2011 VRS CR TDI and got an S5 Sportback in 2017, so a similar change (albeit I kept the Skoda as a workhorse).
The step up in quality was the most notable change. Obviously the performance jump is massive but you're so well isolated from what's going on outside it doesn't feel it. The materials and sound proofing are leagues above in the Audi.
Obviously it's a more expensive car, but having test driven the current VRS the Audi's trump it as nicer places to be.
And I can't ever see me going for a FWD warm hatch again. The surefootedness of the quattro means the power is usable, even if that usable situation is pulling out into a small gap in flowing traffic that the VRS wouldn't get near.
Depends what you use it for, but I would miss the boot space going to an S3.
