So the emission light comes on over the weekend on the A5, exactly 10 days after the warranty expired, feels like it was timed... The car drives perfectly fine, not that I have driven it too much. New car coming in, hence not extended the warranty.

What are peoples experience of Audi offering goodwill, given it has only just expired?

Thanks G

Not had one in a few years but in the past have had an instrument cluster replaced a month out of warranty and a whole cylinder head on a car that was ~500 miles outside.

I didn't even have to ask on either of those.

Just for completeness, I gave the car an Italian tune up, which cleared the emission light, thanks to YouTube!!

Same happened to me with a A3 a few years ago, same technique cured it but it came back. I was part-ex ing the car in a few weeks after it happened, so just acted numb! It was the exhaust valve clogged up.
