Late 2008 Mk V Golf 1.9 TDI DSG - DPF?

I've read every thread I can and am prospectively buying a little run around to do my long trips to work (300ish miles) which the Golf seems ideal for.

I have no idea what the engine code is, currently trying to find out that info, but perhaps someone knows off the bat if the 1.9 PD 105hp with DSG was ever fitted with a DPF? The car is a 58 plate, and g/km are 154 so much higher it seems than the DPF equipped ones even though DPF doesn't relate to co2

Engine code is BXE, anyone know if this has a DPF?

Try phoning the nearest VW Main dealer...may need the engine number/VIN

Yeah some of them did have a DPF in 2008/ 2009. But I think it was only when in combination with the 7-speed DSG or the Bluemotion spec.

Yours sounds like it probably won't as it's higher CO2 and the BXE code engine was offered from 2005/ 2006, but worth a bit of research to be sure
