My air con seems to have the normal pool of water under the car, it's definitely water as I have smelt it. What seems strange though is one of the plastic undertray panels is soaking wet above the pool. Surely it can't be normal that it routes it straight through a panel!

I'm a bit paranoid as I went over some rough ground on an unadopted road (very slowly, about 1mph) and got the dreaded scrape of the underbody, this prompted me to look under and see this. Could it be related?

Car is a 2016 B9 Audi A4

The water will be condensation which is normal but I’d have thought it would be good if the compressor is protected with a tray in case the underside of the car got ttted?

Thanks for the reply....just seems odd that I'm guessing it's from a pipe, and rather than have an outlet that directs straight onto the road, it would direct straight onto a foam/plastic undertray. Can't be good for it getting soaking wet every journey!

That's why I was worried I'd dislodged something!

The undertray also stops the AC drain outlet from getting clogged with crud from the road.
