Audi Extended Warranty Terms Question

hi all

While I wait for Audi Extended Warranty to call me back, would anyone know if the terms of the full component warranty require even replacement brake pads to be Audi, as the statement is that all servicing needs to be done in accordance with Audi standards using genuine Audi parts. Would that include brake pads too? My local garage has only Brembo in stock at the moment.

It needs to be OEM and follow the service handbook etc. So if the Brembos don't come as standard on the car or an option that was ticked in build then it would be classified as as a non standard item. If one were being really pernickety then you'd also need to inform your insurer as the car was no longer standard.

I just spoke to Audi and was told as the brake pads aren’t covered by the warranty it would not affect the terms.
