Hi all,

Recently got a brand new Leon on PCP.

I'm already thinking of my next car when the PCP is to expire and quite fancy an A3.

As both are VAG and I assume Audi's finance is unwritten by VWFS, would it be easy to swap to another VAG manufacturer and not lose anything taking out another PCP agreement with VWFS.

I hope that makes sense. Ive had a good search online but havent found an answer.

Thanks

It would make no difference you would use what equity you have (if any) in the Leon as a deposit + whatever you put in then the monthly amount on the new deal.

Rinse and repeat.

Funny as I am just in the process of this. I had a year left on my PCP on my Leon and fancied a change, so went to the Audi dealership to enquire and they could not be more helpful. As a result, I'm now upgrading to an A4 Avant SL with the Leon being used as the equity towards the deposit.

You won’t lose any equity wherever you go.

All the dealer does is take your car in part ex. If the car is worth more than the settlement figure that is your equity.

Doesn’t matter where you go the process is the same.

As mentioned above, the brands concerned will not make a difference.

The biggest factor will be the value / part ex of the Leon, set against the amount owed on your PCP agreement. You mention it's a recently bought new car, which - unless there was a large deposit - is almost certainly going to be worth several thousands less than the outstanding loan amount. This will typically remain the case until at least three quarters through the PCP term (e.g. month 30 of 36).

It's not possible to say definitively how much extra cash you would need to clear the negative equity without the figures, but wanting to move from one VAG product to another will make no difference.

It may be worth setting out details in the Finance section for more detailed input?

Thanks guys. I wasnt going to be changing until i got towards the end of PCP anyway.

The Leon is a great motor, well equipped and fun to drive. Whether i would be able to afford Audi would be the kicker in 3 yrs time
