could really do with some help, so here goes...

basically i had my mk7 golf 1.2tsi remapped at around 61k last year some time and all was fine until last month when the oil level light came on, so i topped up with a litre or so and continued on my way. then a month later, after about 250ish miles, ive checked again and the oil level was very low, now ive since noticed a bit of smoke (white/blue), not massive amounts but enough that you can notice it as well as developing a slightly rough idle.

I took the car to a local garage and was told its probably the turbo based on the symptoms, but i had no EML or other symptoms that were being picked up. I didnt want to repair or replace the turbo based on a "probably" so i took the car to another garage for a second opinion, and asked for them to try and be a bit more thorough and they basically said theres no issue with vacuum as the slight suction while the oil cap is removed and the engine is running indicates that there isnt any excessive blow by and then basically proceeded to tell me its probably the turbo...£500 later for a fully refurbished turbo and still the same issue, the guys who did the refurb said the turbo seals looked fine, although there was a fair bit of oil on the turbine side (at this point i was thinking most likely valve stem seals on the exhaust side). i also gained a whistle from the turbo which im still unsure of the cause, the garage say its a normal turbo sound but i have a suspicion its a leak somewhere as the refurb guy said the turbo balanced up perfectly and didnt make a sound. so £500 poorer, still burning oil, still smoking plus whining on acceleration, not impressed.

Then last week i finally had an EML after an extended period of the car idling for approx 15 minutes, i borrowed a vcds cable from a friend of mine and got the following information...

Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be the cause of all my woes? im kind of hoping its a PCV issue and the garage havent been very thorough as i could really do with getting this fixed as cheaply as possible after the money ive wasted on fixing a perfectly functional turbo. hopefully someone shed some light maybe on this as i have no idea, when i first had the oil burning issue the cars always run fine apart from the rough idle which has now developed, thanks in advance!

My first thought was pcv but think you’ve got a turbo problem now , which kinda sucks !
