Safe mode on my radio

Hi all having trouble with my radio.I have a 06 Golf. When i switch on the radio it just comes up as safe mode. Can anyone help as i need some music for my trip to Wales this weekend!!! Really appreciated if you can.

Use the car and leave the radio on for a while. Original-to-the-car radios often come out of safe by themselves.

Otherwise,

- check the paperwork, it's often been written down somewhere.
- dealership with proof of ownership and ID.
