Smoky 1.4 PD diesel

Pretty much as the title.
Skoda Roomster 1.4 PD with 80k miles leaving a seriously big cloud of black smoke on hard acceleration. Air and fuel filters both new and no sign of any turbo pipework leaks. Oil changed just a couple of hundred miles ago and already stinks of diesel. Exhaust is thick with oily soot.
Already been back to the dealer and had a new EGR valve fitted under warranty which has made no difference.
Obviously running way too rich but why? Any experience? Over to you Chaps.
