Having a look at a new ride for when the company car goes back in 3 months. After months of deliberation.. Q7, X5, Xc70/90, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Toureg or Landrover ive whittled it down to the XC70 or the Toureg (Quite like the escape) ..
I've always been a big fan of the cross country Volvos, but as the xc70 is no longer in production, and the styling of the new xc90 / v90 is IMHO hideous, I'm leaning towards a Toureg.
The budget is around £17,500, not too fussed about tax, but must be able to carry 4 adults plus luggage in comfort. I like the added options of the difflocks and the extra height in the escape model (living in the countryside, and towing parents caravan / launch / recovering a boat) over the "R" line.. but wouldnt rule out the SE. The 3litre V6 is more attractive too, as I know the D5 isnt euro6 compliant.
What is the general opinion ?? Stick it out for a last of line xc70, or go for the Toureg? (I kow this is a VAG specific forum, but is the Volvo a better or worse choice ?)
