Boring car, get the Type R instead.

Although there are no offers on finance for the superior machine.

It's a great car, I chose to lease mine rather than PCP it. I'm sure the CTR's a hoot but......ye gods, it's not a looker is it?

The colour is like white silver. I'd like to know if you can remove the limiter as well as its limited to 155MPH

Ooh ooh I love a guessing game!

Imagine if you gave any information at all?

Oh, then we get the 155mph post. Must be half term after all.

It's half term round my way, back to commuting in far less time.

There’s More to a golf r than whether it’s nice to drive

It’s also the car of choice for hooded rascals to come break in and threaten to kill you for! And I believe you have to use super unleaded which is an extra 10p per litre

Go for a gti performance pack, keeps with the R and flies under the radar

The new golf r only has 288 thanks to wltp and the golf performance pack has 240 BUT the golf R weighs an extra 80-100kg so isn’t rly any faster apart from on launch!

And why would you want to remove the limiter? If you order new you can have it raised for a price or if you get an aftermarket remap but then warranty will be shot

It's well documented that the Golf R is a great car so there's little argument there.

Are you actually asking if a PCP is a good idea?

With a PCP consider:

The money it costs over the term must be disposable to you
At the end of the term you either need to wave the car goodbye or have the money to buy it outright
At the end of the term you may not be in a financial position to continue ownership but still need a car, will you buy able to afford to buy another?
Ending the agreement early will be expensive (potentially thousands)
Writing off the car will be expensive
Damaging the car will be expensive

It's incredibly tempting to sign a PCP/lease because it allows you to have a car you could not otherwise but it would be very naive also to fail to consider the downsides.

If all or any of the above make you cringe don't ignore that feeling!

4WD makes a difference with the handling vs. GTI in my opinion.
