Display says 'check safelock'

Hi Folks

I own a 2008 mark 4 seat Ibiza. Whenever I turn the engine off the display says ' Check safe lock'.

Could someone be kind enough to tell me what the problem is?

Looks like it's to do with the anti theft system, possible automatic locking if you forget to do it yourself?

Yes, it’s warning you the interior handles won’t work once the car is locked; so don’t leave children etc in the vehicle

Our post box is just up the road so if I need to post anything then I'll often do it when going out.

I'll stop the car by the post box to do so but leave the engine running and it warns me about 'safe lock' when I get out, never had a problem but I always leave the drivers window open just in case it decides to lock me out...
