Hi Guys,

Has anyone else had the same issue where you unlock the car with a key fob and it makes a sound as if it unlocked (or at least tried to unlock) but all doors remain locked. I'm having to either wind the windows down (still using a key fob) to open the doors from inside or use the actual key to open the drivers door (the only one with a key hole) and then open the rest from inside.

I went to the local Audi specialist, and they told me i need all new locks, which is going to be ££££ for parts + labour! It feels almost not worth the cost when i can just use the inconvenience of having to use the key.

Just wondered if there's anything else I could try?

I had it on my previous A5, I had to drop the windows to get in. It’s a known fault with them, I presume the Q5 has similar locks. I WD40’d the handles/locks and it seemed to work for a bit. I swapped the car soon after it started.
