Help please for vw polo 1.4 16v 1996 awh engine

Dont know where to start... first i got dead steeper motor on the throttlebody so i replace the throttle body and got my revs back from 900 to 1000 rpms. All was good till i send my car in mechanic shop to replace the ignition switch because the old one was cracked and the key needs to be shaken in order to start. They replace the ignition switch but when i got home and try to start the car again there was some smoke from under the steering wheel and from then my airbag light came on and the car start to cut out randomly my battery is almost always empty like there is some short circuit. I replaced the ignition coil but no joy still cuts out after 5 min ... replaced the fuel pump relay nope still same thing. After 5 min idling it cuts out and wont start again engine cranks but nope. After some time it will start again and u have 5 to 10 min before it cuts out. Any ideas advice will be appreciated.
