MY19 Audi S3 - Orderable?
Discussion
I noticed back in the summer that the Golf-R (which is a shared platform) had its engine power reduced as a result of changes to support WLTP emission testing. The thing is it does not seem to be orderable as yet, and neither is the S3...my dealer keeps saying its a few weeks away, but that was weeks back. Anyone here better informed?
Audi are only just starting to get cars out the door following major WLTP "issues". On other forums deliveries seem to be a few weeks away so factory must be making cars again now.
S3 has dropped back to 300hp too, yes.
TX.
Edit - FYI a new shape A3 is due out in 2019 with S3 probably 2020.

This may make you smile, I contacted Audi to understand the progress behind the WLTP testing and when it will be available to order....here is the email reply
Thank you for your recent email regarding your interest in an Audi S3.
We are delighted that you are considering Audi for your next vehicle purchase.
In general, the time taken for the delivery of a new vehicle will be 12 to 16 weeks, though this may change from time to time with varying demand.
Having spoken to our Sales Office they have said that at the moment some models of the Audi S3 are available to order but this will depend on the engine you require.
For more information, I would recommend speaking to your local Audi Centre as they can provide you with an up to date estimate of how long you can expect to wait, at the time you place your order.
A list of all our Audi Centres can be found at www.audi.co.uk. Please ask to speak with the Sales Team who will be happy to help.
If I can be of any further assistance, or should you wish to discuss this further, please contact me on the details below.

Haha. Yes, would you like the 2.0 TFSI or the 2.0 TFSI ?
Good luck with getting any info out of Audi.
I've had an S3 on order for 6 MONTHS and still don't have an order number or any clue of when I can expect to take delivery!
They are so far behind because of WLTP, and they refuse, point blank, to discuss timescales of when models will eventually become compliant. Audi dealers, Audi UK and Audi Germany refuse to divulge any information.
Audi did, recently, offer me 3 choices after pestering them with emails and phonecalls:
1) Continue to wait with no information forthcoming
2) Buy a used one (!)
3) Cancel my order
I'm getting very close to option 3 !
The MY19 S3 is 300ps and has a GPF (or PPF) depending what you want to call it, but slightly higher torque figures to compensate.
Good luck! lol.
