New A6 - not able to switch off Stop/Start function
Discussion
My local Audi dealer tells me that the New A6 doesn’t have an “off” button for the Stop/Start function. In other words, the Stop/Start function is permanently engaged and impossible to turn off. The reason being, they say, is that new regulations are being introduced that will prohibit the driver from switching off the Stop/Start function on all new cars and Audi are simply pre-empting the new regulations.
Is this true? Has anyone else heard this?

Yes, seen similar on a Audi forum / facebook group.
There is every chance that plugging in VCDS / Carista / OBD11 will be an answer.
Don't get wrong, anything that we can do as humans can do to keep emissions down is a good thing but we do need some control - I hate SS when first at traffic lights or when is stop start traffic as it just seems counter productive. I have mine (2018 A6) set to remember my last choice, off or on and use it when I will be stopped at light for more than 5 to 10 seconds.
