R8 V10 Milltek Race

Looking at the Milltek Race system for my 2009 R8 V10.

I don’t want to spend a fortune as I never keep cars for long and would like to minimise losses, no Capristo’s here!

It’s hard to tell the teal world sound on YouTube etc so has anyone had one of these systems? Would you recommend?

I've got a Larini Clubsport (non valve) on my LP-560 Spyder.

It's incredible. It absolutely screams.

I've heard, rightly or wrongly, that Milltek are on the quieter side although whether that's across their entire range I don't know.

Have you considered TopGear exhausts - seen a few positive comments from R8 owners regarding them and their pricing is very appealing to.

I have the chance of a second hand Milltek, saving fortunes, even the Top Gear is more than I want to spend, as I am selling in Spring.

Could always straight pipe it I guess!

As already said, the Miltek systems tend to be on the quiet side and imo, not worth the expense of changing. A good system will add selling appeal and value to the R8 so it may be worth fitting a decent one anyway.
