Hi, I am just looking to buy the above 225BHP TT form a private buyer in Southampton.
Car looks clean with 73k miles and has MOT till Nov.

The car of for a friend, I'm a seasoned car buyer and it looks clean and very straight but just wondered if anyone knows it?
It used to belong to a well known forum contributor I was told.

Little bit of rust on the lower edge of drivers door and also at the front of the sills / rear of front wheel arch where it gets lot of water and debris from the tyres. Nothing else to speak of, paint looks original, front and rear are original etc.

Seems to drive well, slight pull to the right under heavy acceleration in the lower gears. Slight knock from the front suspension when reversing of the drive on the test drive. Its having new ball joints and some pins (?) tomorrow before I collect it as they said this is the probably cause??

Any advice before I commit to buying it? I know a lot about Porsches but not a lot about TT's.

Cheers
Dave

O/S/F anti roll bar was an MOT fail in 2018 so perhaps only 1 was changed. Bushes have been advised since 2010 so perhaps maintenance has slipped a little.

Yes this is all being done tomorrow prior to collection. The wishbones, ball joints, bushes and tracking are all being done.

With regards to the little bit on rust in the places I've mentioned, could this be an issue or do they all suffer oxidation?

Can I ask what you are going to pay for it? I’ve got a MK1 TT around similar age and condition that I’m going to sell in a couple of months.

£3k. It seems you get quite a lot of car for the money although they are quite old now.
Too many around it seems to become a classic soon but I guess in time. Ive seen some real dogs for under 3k and some people are asking 4-5k for cos with a poor MOT history. Its a bit minefield I've found but then if you have a nice car, you should sell it quickly.

Lots of silver around, the one I'm buying is black which is a bit different.
