I have just bought a 2016 S3 and am awaiting collection.

I have driven a 2018 model which had electric wing mirrors in the sense that they folded up/away when the car was not running.

I don’t believe the 2016 ones operate in the same way. Can anyone clarify or add to this?? Do you just push them in like the majority of cars?

Cheers

Should have at least been an option. If the mirror controls don’t have the pic of the mirror with the curved arrow, it doesn’t have auto folding

They were an option both before and after the facelift; not standard equipment.

If you'd like me to double check exactly what yours has message me your registration or chassis number and I'll look up a spec.

I've just bought a low mileage 2014 S3 Sportback two days ago and have been trying to find out if it has the auto folding mirrors. Mine does not have the control icon of the mirror with the curved arrow, so I assume that means that the mirrors won't fold automatically even when the car is locked. That's a pity because the car is very highly specified otherwise.
