Calling VW Golfers
Discussion
I'm about to start working on a strange Mexican (an odd Juan)
and I hope a VW afficionado can help me with a colour issue.
The car is an '05 Golf TDI that belongs to a mate at the rifle club.
The car's data sheet says the colour code is LC6X.

This comes up in iists as Oceanic Green or Baltic Green.
Thing is, the car isn't green it's blue. I showed the pic below to five
separate people at the club and asked 'what is this car's main colour?'
They all said, 'blue'.
Norman got himself into a negative clearance situation so here's the wound.

Some shop convinced the man that the code meant Dragon Green so the dinged area
and the wheelarch lip have been painted with that . This obviously is a green colour
but as you can see it's a mile out against the original paint.
So is it that VW Oceanic Green is one of those chameleon shades and what is Baltic Green like?
The plan is to make like Michaelangelo with filler and make it all the right colour. The last part is the
primary need.
Aeons ago I worked on a Morris Minor Traveller, which was Smoke Grey, and that was dangerously
near to sky blue but on a modern-ish car?
Any experiences, ideas or suggestions - and jokes?

This isnt much help either. I had a Mk5 Golf in "Blue Graphite" (god knows why i picked that colour). That could also look quite green at times. I also had a little scrape in it and the body shop told me that the paint code was available in three different shades. Not sure if that's normal.
It is LC6X oceanic green, what else do you want to say?
There are often plenty of different shades. For example I had a Rising Blue scirocco and the colour was actually a very different shade to the Rising Blue of a Golf R.
That's all this is, the painter hasn't checked the shade properly.
