Audi Q7 and Q8 now "Subject to Availability"

Just having a fiddle with the configurator as a family member has just bought a Q8, but from last week they're now showing as "Subject to availability" and to check with a dealer.

What's going on there then? Changeover to a new version already?

Q7/SQ7 is about to be face lifted so that one makes sense that you are limited on configuring it.

The SQ8 has just been announced and is available to order and configure in a dealership, to my knowledge, and i was told should be live on the website soon... perhaps its a case of the website just being tinkered with in the background for now.

Tis true. The customer facing website is always behind the dealership system. Here's the dealer system..

The Q7 has been "Subject to availability" for the best part of a year now, and the SQ7 completely unavailable.
I think it was the the WLTP backlog that caused it.
