Audi end of lease service

Hi,

My Audi A4 is on a 2 year lease and is due to go back on the 20th September. From what I understand it had to be serviced at 19,000 miles or 2 years. Car is at 18,500 miles and I'm handing it back a week before the 2 years are up.

Car dashboard says inspection is due in 5 days, called audi and been quoted £450 odd pound for a service, which Tbh I don't want to spend as I'm not keeping the car and its quite an amount I didn't think I'd be paying, as already spent about £300 on making it good.

Do I have to service the car before I hand it back? Other option could be a service from Halfords for £150, will that be OK or does it have to be from audi?

What does it say in your agreement that you signed?

I have an Audi S3 (on a VW FS 2 year lease) and the agreement states it has to serviced at a main dealer (if on a PCP however it might be allowed to have it serviced elsewhere but to Audi’s specification and parts).

I was quoted nearly £500 for the 2 year service so I asked my local Audi dealer to price match Seat main dealer price (£299). They reluctantly moved down to £385 but my next nearest Audi dealer agreed to match the £299 so worth shipping around.

Has it had a service at all or is it on its Longlife 20K / 2 Year intervals? Wont it need an inspection too?

Isn't the charge for not having a full service history on a lease something like £400 from VWFS?

Yes, 19,000 or 2 years. Called audi and they said if the computer says its due, than you have to get it done.
