Good Audi independent garage near M25 J11-14?
Discussion
Hi,
My 84-year old mum has a 2006 Audi A4 2.0T Avant. It's currently got around 60k on the clock but she barely drives these days - 2k-4k miles a year now according to the MOT history and it's mainly me driving it as she has difficulty getting into and out of my cars. It's been asking for a service for a couple of years now but with such low usage I haven't bothered - but I'm going away for a couple of weeks hols shortly and then a 3-week trip to Japan in late October, so I'd like to make sure her car is not going to let her down during my absence. Most of the time it's me driving it anyway and there's nothing discernibly wrong with it apart from a single clunk when reversing with the steering wheel at one lock or the other. Previously we've had it serviced at an Audi dealership but given the age of the car I'd rather find a good independent who will stick to quality or genuine parts.
A bit of googling has come up with a few possible candidates - RD garage services claims to be a VW/Audi specialist and isn't too far but no mentions in PH forums. The Phirm in Camberley isn't too far but I'm a bit put off by the boy racer image - will they bother about a bog standard car for an old lady? AMD Technik has a slightly more upmarket image but also seems to specialise in fast cars. While her car isn't slow, it's not a glamorous S or RS either. Mill Road Garage in Reading is a little far to drag mum who would have to drive but won't go on motorways any more.
So does anyone know of a good, solid, honest garage who knows their way around Audis? Around Windsor, Ascot, Bracknell, Bagshot, Egham, Staines, Heathrow would be ideal. Doesn't have to be a specialist but I'd prefer it as they are more likely to catch things that don't look quite right.
Thanks!

Don't be put off by a perceived image of The Phirm. I used them earlier in the year for a service and a replacement brake pad for a MK1 TT I bought in March, and would use them again. A very pleasant bunch. I'm far removed from being a boy racer by the way!
I think the only reason I'd not use them again is if they had no loan car availability when I wanted to take the TT back for chain and clutch etc. I've done the strolling around Camberley bit now... wouldn't want to hang around a second time.
