I'm now 6 months in with a nice new A4 Avant, my 3 month trial access to the Audi Connect services has expired yet I'm finding it impossible to navigate a way through the Audi websites, Audi Connect, and anything else which may just happen to link my car to me to allow simple sat-nav updates and traffic info.

So far I've had codes hidden in the spare key fob, 4 digit codes, 6 digit codes, 10 digit codes and two separate passwords which both look to link me directly back to the same website, I've got MMI codes but nowhere to put them and it's all getting just a little confusing to say the least. It is looking like something only a service centre can do which is more than a little annoying curse

Can anybody link me to an idiot guide which will enable me to get traffic updates on my sat-nav?

Carplay is the obvious answer but the PDF of the setup guide is here:

Cheers for that. I'll give it one more go following that guide, but it does leave me wondering why it has to be so complex.

Many thanks

Old version was a fair bit easier actually - my Audi portal generated a one-time-code, put code in car, everything works.

New one is more complex by far (thanks GDPR?) and less reliable.

I don't bother with VW's equivalent and just use Carplay. It works properly.
