vw maindealer may forget carry out DSG oil work.
As the youtube video shows, the DSG oil filter locate under the battery tray. In order to access that place, the technician must take down the intake pipe, battery and battery tray. Is that right?
The evidence, I marked on the screws , when I get back car, all of screws are exactlly at the same position and same angle. I highly doubt the vw technician did not carry out DSG work, although the paperwork shows the DSG oil work is done. How can I do now? Thank you.

If you are 100% sure of your facts go back to the dealer and complain, preferably when they have a showroom full of people. Don't let them fob you off.

This is a long story. we should turst, believe the vw technician skill, until I found they breaked a plastic chip on glove box edge. When I replace pollen filter found. The service history show, only once replace in maindealer before.

a lot of youtube shows

the DSG oil filter located under the battery tray. the technician must remove the intake air pipe, battery and battery tray, and then access the flter cover.

Except the vw Aisin AT 6 speed transmation which sold in North Amearican (USA Canada). We are both european user.

I marked the screws on the air pipe, battery and undertray. It looks like exactly same angle and position as before service.

I could complain or talk with vw dealer again, but logically they will deny my thinking.

If they did not change the DSG oil ,that will be disaster, thay means DSG suffer dirty oil up to 80,000miles in the next.

Rather defeatist.

The 2nd video clearly states (7:13) that the job can be done without removing the battery & tray.

Techs in a dealership who are doing this sort of thing day in / day out will find a way to do it more efficiently if they can - If it was me & the under-tray was already removed for service / engine oil change I would 100% be changing the DSG fluid from below if it was possible as it would simplify the job.

If you're not convinced, either take it up with the dealership or go & get a independent oil analysis carried out.

Edit to add:- the tech in video 2 would get my toe up his aris for having a long extension floating about a couple of inches away from bridging the battery terminals!

There is a special tool to get the filter from underneath.

I'm sure they don't do a lot of these jobs - if ours had its diesel filter changed at its last service they did a remarkably clean job, yet somehow without disturbing the existing dirt. And the Haldex the one before that, which makes a mess on a cross member, but the dealers only change the oil anyway, they don't clean the pump screen, which is vital.

I just regard it as complying with the warranty so all I need is the tick in the book. To be honest I'd rather they left it alone. You do hear of DSG box failures shortly after oil changes.

I’ve known more failures due to lack of oil changes.
