12 Golf GTD - 120k miles Full History - Anything to Watch?
Discussion
Hello,
Seen a car for sale I like the look of, it's a 2012 Golf GTD with a full Dealer Service History, it's got 120K miles on it with timing belt and water pump replaced.
MOT History looks clean
I'm still waiting to see receipts for the servicing and repairs, but looks good so far?
Just looking to see if there's anything I should look out for on these models?
Thanks Guys

the original diamond cut wheels are a nightmare to keep corrosion free. I was looking at mk6 GTD's about 3 years back and the majority had scabby wheels.
Also these have the emissions scandal engine. Ask about if/when the 'fix' was done. Lots of internet stories of the cars never being the same again after the fix. Loss of low down torque, loss of economy.
Look for a proper receipt for the timing belt change.
Like I say I looked at these a few years back but was put off by the strong prices. I bought a mk3 Leon 184 instead.

Okay so since I've posted this up, I contacted the VW dealer (car is at local dealer) who has responded with the following - Also these have the emissions scandal engine.
