I have avw passat alltrack 30000 miles when accelerating hard in 4-5-6 gear their is a resonation as soon as the engine reaches 2000rpm if I accelerate slowly or cruising on the motorway the resonation is only slight Their is no problem below 20000rpm engine is as smooth as silk in any gear. The engine has not had the upgrade from vw as egr valves sometimes suffer after upgrade.VW know about this and give 2years warranty on egr after upgrade. The noise from my engine sounds like a drone/resonation I have had the car back to VW and they agree their is a problem but do not know what it is They also want me to pay for them to investigate whether they find it or not does anybody have or had same fault

Have you checked trim panels, engine covers, air box and intake piping?
Anything being loose can cause what you’re describing. Window regulator panels are always a good one, especially on a car older than yours that’s had it replaced.
