Looking at buying a motorway mile muncher for 4 years & 100k. Decided to get a pre reg Passat.

Both estate DSG, choice is 150 R Line or 190 GT. R Line doesn't seem much different, so to me choice is bodykit vs a bit more poke. What are your thoughts?

Depending on age 150PS shouldnt have adblue (tick), also it has enough poke.
Personally I think the GT is of better spec seats are more comfortable and heated, not too sure on windscreen.
Both should have panaramic roof.
R-line has a body kit which isnt much.....

Both 2018 so the GT has Ad Blue

Agree that the GT seats are nicer, think the R Line will age better

Is the suspension the same in both?

I think the opposite, as an R-line shouldn't be confused with a normal R. In my eyes the Passat is a tourer so comfort over race.
That said its been afew years since I looked into them as I had a SE business 150 and then my colleagues managed to get the GT150 and Rline190?
From my understanding you get the standard setup adjustment steering weight and throttle response. Think you have to pay more for suspension feeling it's called DCC?
Overall it was a nice comfortable car, good build quality. I did experience some faults and a neighbour tells be their newer one stalls alot but I think that's due to emissions with adblue and low revs.
