Did a quick google and from what I can tell
Early b8 versions had a 4 spoke
Facelift versions had 3 spoke which then allowed the S line badge as it becomes all part of a centre spoke section for your telephone controls etc.

Should have a 3 spoke S Line steering wheel. Looks like it’s got the SE one. Maybe the first owner specc’d it like that from factory?

I had a b8 saloon. 58 plate . S line and I can remember that you could pick a 4 spoke over a 3 spoke wheel. I ordered it new to my spec and spent sometime going over the brochure! Together with white or black stitching it was one of the weirder options.

This example has the black roof lining and the s line foot plates so i don’t think anything weird has gone on. Page 36 change to a no cost 4 spoke wheel on the s line

How informative, many thanks! I have no idea why you would opt for a 4 spoke wheel, it does spoil the look somewhat...! But I guess it must have happened here!

My S6 of a similar generation us the 4 spoke wheel instead of the “sportier” 3 spoke number. Reason being - if you wanted a heated wheel it wasn’t available on the 3 spoke
