I have bought a A7 3.0 bitdi from Audi which had stage 1 remap by previous owner (Audi didn't tell me when I bought it!).

If I accelerate hard, in the first 1 second or so the car feels really fidgety and wants to pull hard to one side or the other. This stops after a second but I have to watch out for it when first putting my foot down if I want to stay on the road.

Could this be anything to do with the remap? Too much torque for the diff? Is my diff on its way out or is this just normal? Didn't notice anything like it in S4, RS4 and RS5 I have driven.

What tyres are on it?

Tread depth?

Pressures?

Not sure what the tyres are. The car is in with Audi at the moment so I can't check but they were either michelin or perelli. They are 21in rims so only premium brands available.

Tread depth is about 4mm and the pressures are all OK as I check them regularly (40 psi).

Could be a diff issue on one side.

I can tell you though it shouldn’t do that point blank. I had a 2015 a7 bitdi and it was the most sure footed car I even had. Didn’t even flinch no matter how much I Jamed the pedal so something is defo off.

My first instinct similar to previous poster is tyres and alignment but could be something more serious. Surprised they sold you a remapped car considering they flag these things up as a td1 so If you had any drivetrain issues they are unlikely to fix them

I was surprised they sold me a remapped car too. It only showed up when they had it for a recall update. They provided a 1yr used warranty and I have it in writing that the remap does not affect the warranty. I'm still concerned incase issues come up after the warranty runs out.
