High Idle and Check Engine Light

Golf Mk6 Gt Tdi, 110k

Check engine light, and idle from cold is 1200, hangs there till warmed up. And when warmed up, most of the time is just below 1000. Does not drop to the normal 800rpm marker.

Ant thoughts?

you need to get the fault codes read and cleared.
Anything else is just guess work
