Golf R Mountune clutch
Discussion
Hi
I’ve got an unmodified Golf R (7.0) 2016.
Manual with 40K miles.
The clutch is made of toffee as is well reported.
I’m keen to replace the clutch but I really don’t want it to be overly heavy. I will then remap.
1. Has anyone tried the Mountune clutch and flywheel on their R?
2. I ask as I see Mountune advertise an upgraded clutch and flywheel for the GTi but not for the R. I have emailed them but haven’t yet heard back. I know the oem GTi and R clutches have different part numbers but that doesn’t necessarily mean that they are not the same. Does anyone know if they are the same clutch (and flywheel) on the R as on the GTi?
3. What are people’s experience of the Mountune short shifter?
