S5 convertible - operate roof from key?

I’ve got a ‘14 plate S5 convertible, but I’m not near the handbook.

Should I be able to open/close the roof from the key fob? If so, how?!

Holding lock or unlock will open or close the windows, but not the roof.

You need to be close to the car. Triple click the unlock button and hold down on third click. To close it do the same on the lock button.

Mine is 2014 too. You need to be standing right next to the car.

Check that the compartment in the boot is raised so that the roof can operate too.

Nope, nothing. Does yours have keyless go? Mine doesn’t.

Yes it does. Maybe that’s it. Try you tube to see if you can see someone demo the procedure.

The remote roof open/close only works with one of the option packs, cant remember if its advanced key or comfort front seats which also gives you memory seats. Mine has both and as above tripple click unlock on the key opens the roof.

I’ve got memory seats, so assume it’s the advanced key option. I think I’ve seen reference to that elsewhere too. Ah well.

There’s several companies that do add on modules that enable this if you really want it, but they’re all around £300

These guys retrofitted cruise control to an S1 I used to have. They have a listing for remote roof module but it doesn't list the A5/S5. I'm sure they could do it, and they also come to your property.

I recall reading the same when I had my 2003 E46 cab. But a local BMW specialist simply coded in remote key button roof control for £30. Maybe try an Audi specialist?
